Most Venerable Jing Xin, Taiwan, passed away on 15th Feb, 2020

15th Feb, 2563/2020 TAIWAN: It was a very sad news when we (MCU) heard the Most Venerable Jing Xin, the former chief abbot of Guang De Monastery, Gao Xiong, Taiwan, has passed away on February 15th, 2020 at the age of 92, 60 Vassa. Words can’t be expressed how sad we are to hear the passing away of the Most Venerable.

He had made good relationships, exchange Buddhist education and meditation between the two Buddhist traditions: Theravada and Mahayana. The Most Venerable has cooperated for the Buddhist activities with Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) for many years I recognize that the Most Venerable had made great efforts to promote and preserve Buddhism not only in Taiwan but also all over the world. He had also participated in many Buddhist activities which were organized by Buddhist organizations around the world.

We do understand that the Most Venerable Jing Xin had lived a very pious life and believe that the Most Venerable will be born in Nirvana.
